Judy created Informed Strategies in 1997 to bring a customer-oriented perspective to the design and development of electronic products and services. Her experience includes 12 years managing sales at the Institute for Scientific Information (now Thomson Reuters) and at Faxon, preceded by 13 years managing academic libraries (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, & Stetson University).
With both an Executive MBA (Emory University) and an MLS (Florida State University), Judy is active in the publisher and library communities and is frequently found at meetings that focus on industry initiatives or emerging topics. She was CoChair of the NISO Working Group that created SERU (Shared Electronic Resources Understanding) and led the creation of the Juried Product Development Forums for the Charleston Conference.
She has authored widely cited papers and had articles featured in Library Journal. Judy is a frequent industry speaker, is a Past President for the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) and has served on the boards of the North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG) and the Association for Information and Dissemination Centers (ASIDIC).
