Judy Luther - Informed Strategies Judy Luther, President

Judy works with a broad range of clients in the publishing and association sector to help them better understand their current market position and to develop business opportunities that are win/win for her clients and their customers.  She created Informed Strategies to bring a customer-oriented perspective to the development and delivery of electronic products and services.

Her views of publishing and technology were shaped by her work at the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), a Thomson Company, as Director of North American Sales and at Faxon where she managed key accounts and supported new product development. Her experience in higher education includes working as the Director of Learning Resource Center at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and as Government Documents Librarian at Stetson University where she instituted marketing through liaison programs at both institutions.

With both an Executive MBA and an MLS, Judy is active in professional organizations.

She has authored widely cited white papers on the E-Only Tipping Point (with Rick Johnson, ARL 2007) and Electronic Journal Usage Statistics (CLIR 2000) and had feature articles in Library Journal. Judy is a frequent industry speaker at a wide range of organizations and has served on the boards of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) and North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG).
